Sisters of St. Francis Gather! May 31, 2010

Guess what happens this week in the life of our community? 

All our sisters come “home” to Peoria and we have three days of meetings.

  What do we do at our meetings?

  We talk about important things we nee d to change or think about as we move into another year of ministry.

  We will have a speaker.  We will have lots of discussion and prayer.  And we will enjoy each others company at the end of each day too!

At the end of the week we are “missioned”. 

The superior of the community will officially send us out to our ministries for another year.

We have a special blessing!

And we depart for another year of service!

Please pray for us as we enter into this time! 

 

Memorial Weekend Fun! May 25, 2010

I’m back at the newman center today for the week!  I will be working on some Koinonia plans for next year.  And also getting excited about this weekend!  Memorial Day fun is headed my way!  Two of my sisters are coming over for some rest and relaxation.  We will eat like pigs.  We will watch lots of fun movies.  And hopefully go out to Crystal Lake Park and do some paddle boating too!  I can’t wait.  I”m already planning the menu!  And the fun!

Finally Working on H.O.P.E. Retreat Program May 21, 2010

Guess what I finally found some time to do?  i guess i should say, i finally made time for it.  I took time today to continue working on my newest dream.  I want to begin a catholic retreat program for women who have experienced sexual trauma.  I feel that it is a real need in the church And i want to help people see and undestand where God is in their pain.  It felt good to work on it!
